When should we do Teeth Zoom Whitening Treatment? The holiday season is almost back and it is a time of travel, celebration, parties, and photos…
Of course, everyone wants to save his amazing memories with nice photos and nice SMILES so it is the best time to do teeth whitening.
As we age, our teeth naturally lose some of their whiteness due to stains that accumulate from food and drinks, some of these stains can be polished away through daily brushing, flossing, and routine dental cleaning at the clinic while other stains would remain over the teeth and turn into yellow color which affects the white natural color and eventually it affects our smiles.
Let us help you to know more about Zoom Whitening treatment, its benefits, and when you can do it?
Teeth Zoom Whitening
Teeth Zoom Whitening is a fast and effective way to brighten your smile, it is a treatment used to lighten the staining and discoloration of teeth enamel. It consists of a hydrogen peroxide-based whitening gel and zoom light. It is a one-time treatment where the dentist needs to whiten your teeth.
Teeth Zoom Whitening is one of the most effective whitening procedures and it is a low risk treatment which doesn’t affect the teeth physical structure.
Only one Teeth Zoom whitening session is needed to be done at the clinic to whiten your teeth. Then you might do touch ups using the self-whitening kit at your home. The dentist can provide you with a Gel and customized plastic trays needed for the self-whitening session at home.
When starting the procedure at the dental clinic the dentist will cover your gums and lips so only teeth will be visible, he will give you an eyewear protector in order to keep the eyes safe, then will place a layer of whitening gel and put the zoom light on the teeth for 15 minutes.
This process is usually repeated for 3 times in the same session, and in case of having a teeth sensitivity, the dentist will provide a paste to use on your teeth in order to reduce it.
Within less than 90 minutes of the appointment, your teeth will be brighter and whiter with a natural look.
It is important to maintain a “white diet” for 48 hours to prevent discoloration so it is good to eat white rice, white sauce, milk, banana, plain chicken and to avoid coffee, tea, soft drinks, chocolate, and any drink or food that could discolor your teeth.
Zoom whitening is applied only on natural teeth and it doesn’t whiten crowns, implants, and veneers.
