Dentures

Dentures are prosthetic devices constructed to replace missing teeth, and are supported by the surrounding soft and hard tissues of the oral cavity. Conventional dentures are removable; however, there are various denture designs, some of which rely on bonding or clasping onto teeth or dental implants. Dentures are custom-made in a dental laboratory from impressions taken of the patient’s mouth. They help restore the appearance and oral functions that were lost due to the missing teeth. While dentures can take some time to get used to and will never feel exactly the same as natural teeth, modern dentures are more comfortable and aesthetically pleasing than ever before. Proper care and regular dental visits are important to extend the life of dentures and maintain oral health.
